Elizabeth is a professional writer whose columns and feature articles have appeared regularly in the Central Coast publications for the past 30 years. A fourth-generation Gilroyan, Elizabeth is descended from the pioneer Chesbro family. Her volume, Images of America: Carmel Valley, was published by Arcadia Press in January 2010.


Sam Bozzo

Life in Gilroy

Sam is a past president of the Gilroy Garlic Festival and a demonstration chef. He's an amazing cook—he published a book called Any Bozzo Can Cook with Gene Sakahara. Together they are known as the SakaBozzo twins separated at birth. He and his wife of 47 years, Judy, have two sons and three grandchildren who also live in Gilroy.

Dan is a local artist whose early works were more of Realism. He now enjoys an Impressionistic style. He lives in Morgan Hill with his life partner, Kim.


Don DeLorenzo

Don has been the PGA General Manager of Gilroy Golf Course since 1985. He is a former winner of the Bill Stausbaugh award given by the PGA of America for excellence in education. He was named the 2014 Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year, was born and raised in Gilroy and still lives here with Mia, his wife of 33 years.


Matthew Hendrickson

Theatre Scene

Matthew has been involved with community theater for over 35 years. He is currently a designer’s assistant for Brotin Design, a founding member of a local film production company, Oscar Dante Motion, and is still heavily involved with local theater.

Manners Matter

Karen is an etiquette and manners expert trained and certified by the Emily Post Institute in Vermont. She has been teaching etiquette and manners to children and adults for over thirty years. Vicki has lived and worked in the South County area as a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 35 years. She and her husband George raised two beautiful daughters with the help of the village here. Mike Monroe

Morgan Hill Historical

Mike has lived and worked in this area for over 30 years. He is active in the Morgan Hill Historical Society, a local businessman, volunteer at local parks and the sponsor of a natural history program in Morgan Hill.


Sherry Hemingway


Sherry spent her childhood after lights out with a book and flashlight under the covers. With degrees from Kent State University and Harvard University, he lifelong career was in journalism and public relations. Her hobbies include travel in (very) remote countries, volunteering and two book clubs.
