About gmhToday

gmhToday is a full-color, upscale community magazine that highlights all things Gilroy and Morgan Hill. Since 2006, gmhToday has been connecting the South Santa Clara Valley with fascinating features, relevant advertisements and current stories that inform and ignite our community. We believe this community is an amazing place to live and raise a family — gmhToday celebrates that.

The magazine is published every other month, direct mailed to subscribers and advertisers and distributed FREE to over 250 locations through the communities of Gilroy, San Martin and Morgan Hill.

The journey began in 2006 with the first issue of Gilroy Today. For over eight years, our quarterly Gilroy Today magazine was sought after, read and shared throughout the community. In 2013, the first issue of Morgan Hill Today was published at the urging of our supporters. With the overwhelming acceptance of the new magazine, we realized that the best way to continue to grow was to unite the two magazines to celebrate this area that is rich in community, activities and stories of achievement and challenges.

Pet of the Week: Operation Freedom Paws by Larry J. Mickartz

Recently we received an interesting email. Our photogenic puppy, Charlie, had been selected “Puppy of the Week” at Operation Freedom Paws (OFP). Charlie is a character and is quite lovable, but this was unexpected. We also received a bumper sticker announcing that he was “Puppy of the Week” at OFP. Charlie had been on the cover and was a lead story in the July 2017 issue of gmhTODAY.

So Morgan Hill lost their bid to be the location for a secondary Amazon headquarters. I wasn’t even aware that they had made a bid until I heard that they lost it.

I was relieved, to be honest.

I have serious personal interest in a tech company coming to the South Valley because my husband makes the commute from Gilroy to Cupertino every day.

I love this time of year. Call me a Grinch, but while I enjoy aspects of the holidays, I love the fresh slate of January even more. All the champagne and gifts and merriment need to end at some point, and what we’re left with is sensible, down-to-earth January.

January is a wonderful time to re-evaluate your life and cast a new vision for the year. I have a lot of balls rolling in my personal and professional life. January is the perfect time to dive into projects with gusto and prune back areas that need pruning.
